Endangered Animals In the Rainforest

The three toed sloth is an endangered species found in the rainforest. They are known for being incredibly slow-moving which is a leading cause of their endangerment. In trees they can avoid predators, but if found on the ground they have no defense against jaguars, anacondas, etc. Moving at only about 5 ft/min on the ground they are easy targets for many carnivores. Also, because of the demolition of the rainforests, sloths, along with many other rainforest-dwelling animals, are losing their home.
